I happen to enjoy Holiday and Christmas Music. I know it can be corny and often is, but I like the positive messages about love, family, celebration and gratitude. What I do not appreciate is the ongoing stream of the same songs for about a month before every year. They are the primarily the same songs repeated over and over by the traditional artists who recorded them plus this year’s new versions. I wold enjoy them so much more, if they were all held back till about december 15th and then let them fly all over the radio and elevators till we explode:)
New Holiday DJ Music
This year we have new version from Tony Bennett, Justin Bieber, Keyshia Cole, The Killers, Dean Martin, Maria Carey, OneRepublic, Tim McGraw, Sara Evans, Scott Weiland, Sammy Hagar, Toby Keith and Jack Johnson, yes, Jack Johnson!
Some of my favorites from years past are Elvis Presley “Blue Christmas”, The Kinks “Father Christmas”, The Beach Boys “Little Saint Nick”, BOYZ II Men “silent Night”, Bruce Springsteen “Santa Claus is Coming To Town”, RUN-DMC “Christmas in Hollis”, The Eagles “Please Come Home For Christmas” and Greg Lake “I Believe in Father Christmas”. I will add another blog post dedicated to Traditional and old favorite Christmas and Holiday Songs for DJs.
